GSPWAG has been proactive in working with local businesses and communities in developing positive actions in the watershed to help improve the health and beauty of the local Magothy River and Severn River. Several of these projects are highlighted below.
|
| Mill Creek Headwater Restoration project
- Currently in progress! Estaurine restoration design and permit
application was performed by Bayland, Inc. Restoration Plans HERE.
The GSP-WAG had representatives on the Mill Creek Scientific Review Committee
during the 5 year long assessment and design phase and was also instrumental in
encouraging local officials to encourage restoration to mitigate the impacts of
the 3 million gallon sewage spill in Mill Creek and provided support for the
restoration project to local officials in order to help preserve funding and see
this project move forward.
